










Important Information About Procedures For Opening A New Account To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
WE ID! When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents. This information will be checked against the latest SDN listing provided by the government through CHEXSYSTEMS for verification of possible terrorist affiliation. A match will be reported and the account will either be denied or frozen until further notice.

It is the policy of MWD Federal Credit Union to recognize and respect each member’s Privacy and their expectation of privacy regarding their financial information with this Credit Union. If you would like to be removed from this list, you may contact Experian directly at 1-888-567-8688 or write to Equifax Options, P.O. Box 740123, Atlanta, Georgia 30374-0123. Include your full name, social security number, date of birth and mailing address. It is the credit union's practice to share Transactional Experience Information to administer your accounts and to provide you with enhanced products and services and other opportunities, to the extent permitted by law and by our policies. Examples of Transaction/Experience Information include your account balances and your credit history with us.
MWDFCU restricts access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information in order to provide products or services to you. We also maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
• Protect your account numbers, VISA/DEBIT card numbers and PIN (personal identification numbers).
• Beware of phone solicitations to verify information. MWDFCU does not initiate inquiries regarding account numbers or social security numbers. We already have this information on file.
• Keep MWDFCU posted of your current address and phone number. If we detect potentially fraudulent activity on your account, we will attempt to contact you for verification.
